The Men’s and Women’s Garden Club of Minneapolis is proud to present our 2023 Public Garden Tour on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023. This event is a wonderful opportunity to explore some of the outstanding gardens in the Minneapolis metro area while supporting our Club’s scholarship fund and mission of environmental stewardship.
Proceeds from the tour fund our Club’s merit-based scholarships for students working towards a degree and career in horticulture, landscaping design, environmental science, or a related professional area. Over the past 20+ years, our Club has awarded over $70,000 in scholarships.
The tour will include 6 – 8 beautiful gardens, each with its own unique features and highlights. Volunteers from our Club, including some who are Master Gardeners, will be at each of the gardens to share their knowledge and provide insights into the garden’s design and maintenance.
Attendees can choose between a self-drive option or a bus option with a box lunch. The bus option is a great way to relax and enjoy the tour while leaving the driving to someone else. Either way, attendees will have plenty of time to explore each garden at their own pace.
Ticketing information and garden descriptions will be available on this webpage in April, so be sure to mark your calendar and stay tuned for updates. This is an event you won’t want to miss, so gather your friends and family and join us for a day of beauty, education, and inspiration.
Prior to the Public Garden Tour, club members and experts in the field, Mary Barsness and Julie Burgart, will present “Flower Power: A Workshop on the Magic of Growing and Arranging Cut Flowers” at Bachman’s on Lyndale in Minneapolis on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 from 4:30 pm – 5:50 pm. Tour tickets and information will be available at the Workshop.
Details for the workshop can be found at https://www.bachmans.com/e/workshops-events.
