The Men’s and Women’s Garden Club of Minneapolis is an organization for all people interested in gardening. Our members hail from communities throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area, from all walks of life and have diverse gardening interests.
We were chartered as the Men’s Garden Club of Minneapolis by the Men’s Garden Clubs of America in October 1942, and in November 2012, changed to our current name. This year we are celebrating our 80th year as a club, and still going strong.
We meet the second Tuesday of each month. September-November we meet at the Lakewood Cemetery Mausoleum, and January-April we meet at the Lake Harriet United Methodist Church. In May, we hold our annual Plant Sale, in July we have a garden tour event or two, in August we hold our Flower Food Foto Show at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, and December is our Annual Award Dinner.
